Our credit union is owned by our membership – and governed by a volunteer board of directors and supervisory committee. The credit union members who serve donate their personal time and expertise in order to help our credit union succeed in its mission.

The Sixtieth Annual Meeting of EFCU will be held virtually on October 21, 2020 via Webex. Three of our board positions are open for election.


Election of Directors will be by mail ballot in accordance with EFCU bylaws. There are three (3) Director Positions open for election in 2020. These positions are for three (3) year terms which will commence upon election to the Board.

The Nominating Committee consisting of Mike Smales, Chair, Mark Wetmore and Jon Wahrenbrock, have nominated three individuals to run for election to the Board of Directors. The nominees have agreed to serve if elected. The nominees are:

Thomas Ballew 

Tom has been an EFCU Board member since 2007. Tom is a native of Elko County. Tom is an owner of High Desert Engineering, a local civil engineering firm. Tom has extensive knowledge of Elko and vicinity and adds his experience as a business owner to the Board.

Bob Collyer

Bob has been an EFCU Board member since 2013. Bob was born and raised in rural northern Idaho. The Collyer’s moved to the Elko area in 1996. Bob and his wife Gail own and operate Elko Took & Fastener. Bob served 2 terms on the Spring Creek Association Board of Directors, and is a Board Director for Friends for Life.  

Amanda Osborne

Amanda has been an EFCU Board member since 2016 when she was appointed to fill a vacancy. Amanda was recently promoted to the position of Elko County Manager. Prior to her promotion she was the Elko County Human Resources Manager. Her professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resources, World at Work – Benefits & Compensation, and the Nevada Mining Association HR Committee. She has held several volunteer positions with the Northeastern Nevada Horseman’s Association.
